Adekunle Gold‘s, Simi used this music to discuss the joys and sorrows of being a woman, as well as what it meant to be a true woman or mother in this new incoming single titled “Woman“.
Recently, she started a trend with the hashtag #Nobodylikewoman across her social media accounts. A trend that has seen women from various spheres of life express both similar and unique social challenges, misogyny, and stereotype shaming they face as women.
However, in the song Woman, she expresses her pain as not just a woman but also as a caring mother.
Meanwhile, Woman is a song about uplifting women as much as it is about pointing out the institutional barriers placed on them, Simi points out society’s unequal treatment while demanding for a more equitable system.
Apparently, this new song is a an impressive single dropped from her yet to be released fourth studio album
Consequently, this new tune will be the singer’s third single in the year 2021, following the success of her previous songs “Happy Birthday” and “Duduke (French Version)”.
